Instituto APOYO is a private not-for-profit think tank specialising in governance; institutional and second generation reforms (reform of the State, Parliamentary reform, Judiciary reform, police and citizen safety, corruption, local governments, decentralisation, public sector reform, health, education and poverty), and; evaluation of social projects and policies (social funds, infrastructure, education, health and social investment). Type of services: in-depth research (including comparative analysis, interviews, surveys, stake holder analysis, quantitative and qualitative research); econometric analysis; mid-term and final evaluation and monitoring (including field observation); advisory services; organisation of conferences and workshops; organisation of civil society task forces on reform topics; publishing (books, newsletters, policy papers and reports). The services developed have included government consultancies (financed by multilateral and bilateral international organisations), participation in research networks in Peru and Latin America and projects developed with funding from various international foundations (World Bank, IADB, USAID, Tinker Foundation, NED, CIPE, CIDA, and others).
