Artesania Indigena y Campesina del Oriente Boliviano (Artecampo)
The Association of Artisans of the Field (ARTECAMPO), grassroots artisan grassroots organization, was born in 1985, as a result of a process of organization, training, exchange of experiences and support from CIDAC. Artecampo congregates 14 local associations composed of ninety percent by women from the Guaraní, Ayoreode, Guarayo and Chiquitano ethnic groups and from the mestizo communities of Cotoca, Vallegrande and Los Tajibos, among others.
The systematic work of Artecampo and CIDAC over 32 years has contributed to the knowledge, recovery and revaluation of the cultural identity of the indigenous peoples of eastern Bolivia and has been recognized nationally and internationally. Today the Artecampo store is a reference space in the sale of high quality lowland crafts.See more
