They were born to respond to the urgent call that Pope John Paul II made to humanity in the Apostolic Letter "Novo Millenio Ineunte". That call invited to leave a work that was the seal of jubilee charity.
For this reason, on May 8, 2001, Mr. Arturo Calle, Mr. Gonzalo Restrepo and the Eminent Lord Cardinal Monsignor Pedro Rubiano Sáenz met to create the Food Bank of Bogotá.
This is a work based on the generosity and interest of some entrepreneurs who sought the opportunity to participate in a project with an evangelical foundation and business conception, to directly benefit the most vulnerable people in their city and nearby municipalities.See more
