Banque Caledonienne d'Investissement (BCI)
BCI, A BANK THAT CULTIVATES ITS DIFFERENCE
For over 30 years, BCI has placed the needs of Caledonia and Caledonians at the heart of its strategy, with the constant concern of being the bank at the service of all on a daily basis.
Faithful to its primary vocation of aid to the development of the country, it supports both individuals and professionals in their most diverse projects, making it the 1st local credit institution.
By offering both the only network of branches present on the whole territory including the islands, and the most competitive bank rates, the BCI allows every Caledonian to access modern and innovative banking services at the best cost. Strongly involved in local life, the almost 450 BCI employees are proud of their commitment and the values that drive them. Thanks to them, BCI serenely embodies a vision for the future so that together we can see further.
Offering their customers innovative services that meet their needs is a motivation that never leaves them. They offered for example the first in New Caledonia a mobile application (BCIpass) allowing to easily connect to the management of your online accounts. They were also the first to offer merchants in the country the possibility for their customers to pay for their purchases in installments (PnF). Innovation is at the heart of BCI's development projects and motivates a regular improvement of our offers and services.
1st banking network in New Caledonia with no less than 32 points of sale and 103 ATMs throughout the country, the BCI has made proximity to Caledonians a priority.
It is the only bank to be present throughout the territory and in particular on the Loyalty Islands and the Isle of Pines.
SOLIDARITY & RESPONSIBILITY
The BCI fulfills a mission of primary importance by enabling the banking of populations which, without its presence, would be without it.
BCI has been committed since its creation to offer banking services to the greatest number.
SPIRIT OF CONQUEST
The BCI continues to regularly develop its already largest agency network in the territory. The BCI is increasingly focusing on proximity to its customers, in particular by networking the territory with its network of agencies. Thus, the establishment recently welcomed its 32nd point of sale opposite the Médipôle de Koutio. The opening of this agency allows BCI to respond to the high demand generated by the Dumbéa-sur-mer area. This continuous development perfectly symbolizes the pioneering spirit which has always animated BCI.
A CALEDONIAN HISTORY
The Caledonian Investment Bank (acronym: BCI ), a public limited company of mixed economy, was born in 1988 from the spin-off of a company grouping together a double activity: construction and real estate management on the one hand, the granting of investment loans to businesses and housing loans to individuals on the other hand. The BCI has retained the original “credit company” component by amplifying it by widening its scope of intervention and the range of its services, which was allowed to attain the status of full-service bank. .
BCI then became a universal retail bank that provides comprehensive financial services to its clientele of individuals, SMEs and large companies throughout New Caledonian territory.
In fact, the BCI has rapidly developed via a network of points of sale covering the entire Caledonian archipelago. All these permanent and periodic sales outlets, as well as the Change counter at the international airport, provide all residents of New Caledonia with a multifaceted local service, relayed by all modern means of communication.
Its capital is held by two main shareholders, New Caledonia on the one hand, BRED Banque Populaire on the other hand (acquired in 2006); different shareholders, which give it both its uniqueness as a financial institution for development and its full and complete characteristics of a commercial bank operating in a competitive environment.
Today, BCI is the 1st bank in New Caledonia with more than 34.9% market share on outstanding loans as of December 31, 2018.See more
