The Business Coalition Against Corruption (BCAC), established in February 2011, is a joint initiative of the Business Council for Africa (BCA) Cameroon and the CONAC, GICAM, ECAM, TRANSPARENCY INTERNATIONAL. The aim of this public private partnership to support the Cameroonian Government in improving business climate and achieving its ambition to be an emerging economy by 2035.
The mission of BCAC is to make the business environment in Cameroon 'corruption free'. Its main activities to achieve this goal consist of quantifying and communicating the economic and commercial benefits of a corruption-free business environment, so as to progressively migrate the mindset of all the stakeholders from the prevailing 'nothing can be done' to 'yes we must'. Among the main achievements of BCAC are the training of over a hundred managers and the designing of a coaching program for them. Furthermore, it helped putting in place an 'Ethics and Compliance Program'.
