Canadian Water Network

About Canadian Water Network is Canada’s trusted broker of research insights for the water sector. When decision makers ask, ‘What does the science say about this?’ They frame what is known and unknown in a way that usefully informs the choices being made. Their unique approach begins with an in-depth understanding of the problem and identifying where progress can be made. They talk to the experts and consult the knowledge base to frame the knowns and unknowns. From there, they communicate relevant insights to practice and policy leaders, moving the conversation forward. Their History Canadian Water Network was established in 2001, in response to Walkerton’s deadly drinking water crisis. Over the next 16 years, the organization invested more than $100 million in water research as a Network of Centres of Excellence. Today, the organization is an independent nonprofit that serves decision-makers across the water sector.
