Catholic Social Center Viernheim (Katholisches Sozialzentrum Viernheim)
It's no secret that the gap between rich and poor is widening. This also divides the gap between ideal and reality. The ideal would be to live in a society in a world where there is no need for a social center. Unfortunately, the reality is very different.
To alleviate the plight of many people in the city, numerous full-time and volunteer people and institutions have come together. The Catholic Social Center was created. Now we have the Viernheimer Tafel, the children's clothing store of the House of Life "Jacket and Pants" and the AWO clothing store under one roof. In cooperation with the city of Viernheim, welfare recipients can get food, clothing and advice there.
The center is financed by donations from the population, voluntary work and funds from the Sparkassenstiftung Starkenburg. It is a unique project that they are all very proud of.See more
