The Caucasus Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development (CIPDD) is a research center working on independent, public policy issues. The Institute was established in Tbilisi in 1992. CIPDD is a non-governmental and non-entrepreneurial organization and is not linked to any political party. But he is not neutral, in terms of political values. In case of necessity he / she participates in civil initiatives supporting liberal democracy. To this end, the institute will be associated with individuals and organizations in the Coalition.
The Caucasus Institute performs research, prepares and publishes various publications, arranges conferences, round tables and public discussions. The Institute also conducts training and seminars.
The competence of the Institute is particularly high in areas such as the problems of ethnic and religious minorities and civil integration, local self-governance, development of civil society, development of democratic institutions, military-civil relations and security sector reforms.
The Caucasian Institute mainly operates in Georgia, but participates in joint projects on the South Caucasus and Black Sea and Black Sea basins.
