Centro de Archivo y Acceso a la Informacion Publica (CAinfo)

The Archives and Access to Public Information Center (CAinfo) is a non-profit organization. Since its foundation in 2008, it is dedicated to the promotion and defense of the right to information, freedom of expression and citizen participation. Based on the notion of these rights as autonomous categories and at the same time as budgets for the exercise and enforceability of other fundamental rights, the Center works around the education, promotion, monitoring and defense of various specific human rights. Mission Provide citizens with a legal tool that supports their right to information, achieve greater management control and achieve greater public transparency. Vision Work for the fulfillment of fundamental rights of expression and information, according to the commitments assumed by the country in the field of human rights. Application areas The areas of work of CAINFO are the dissemination and advice to people and organizations of civil society, regarding the right to information, archives and freedom of expression. They  also specialize in training and in the realization of agreements with other institutions, in the areas of advocacy and litigation of the mentioned matters.
