Chapin Hall serves as a steward of administrative data from a number of public agencies. In this role, they are responsible for ensuring that those data are secure at all times. They regularly review security protocols to ensure that appropriate physical, administrative, and technical controls are in place to guarantee confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all data. Data are used only (1) with the expressed permission of the source agency; (2) for the explicit purpose(s) approved by the source agency; and (3) to benefit the source agency and (by extension) the individuals and families the source agency serves. Chapin Hall ensures that research using those data is aligned with Chapin Hall’s mission, relevant to the data sharing partner agency, and reviewed by the cognizant Institutional Review Board (IRB).See more
