Citizens Advice is the largest advice-giving network in the UK, regularly providing advice from over 3,000 locations.
Citizens Advice and each Citizens Advice Bureau are registered charities reliant on over 20,000 volunteers and need to raise funds to provide these vital services. The majority of the advisers are trained volunteers helping people deal with nearly 5.5 million new problems every year, in bureaux, by phone and at outreach sessions in places like GP surgeries and courts – even in people’s homes.
To ensure that individuals do not suffer through lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities, or of the services available to them, or through an inability to express their needs effectively.
And Equally: To exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services, both locally and nationally.
