Clean Air Initiative for Asian Cities (CAI-Asia)

The Clean Air Initiative for Asian Cities (CAI-Asia) promotes innovative ways to improve air quality in Asian cities by sharing experiences and building partnerships. CAI-Asia was established in 2001 by the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, and USAID, and is part of a global initiative that includes CAI-LAC (Latin American Cities) and CAI-SSA (Sub-Saharan Africa). CAI-Asia brings together stakeholders to build knowledge and capacity, develop policies and implement on-the-ground measures for improved air quality while simultaneously addressing health, climate change, energy and transport issues.
