Coalition of African Alternatives Debt and Development (CAD-Mali)

The Coalition of African Alternatives Debt and Development (CAD-Mali) is a social movement of counter-power, opposition to neoliberal policies and popular alternatives. Its Malian status was approved by the Government of Mali in 2001. The Organisation has one hundred and three (103) member organisations made up of smallholder associations and organisations, women, young people, traditional healers, economic operators, Non-government Organisations (NGOs), trade unions, Muslim and Christian religious denominations and several individuals committed to peoples causes. The mission of CAD Mali is to promote political awareness through capacity building among the activists in the struggle against unfair mechanisms, rules and laws through actions of popular citizen education, protest and proposals for alternatives at the local, national, sub-regional and international levels.
