Coventry Haven Women's Aid

ABOUT They began in the early seventies as a women’s group and have grown to become a small, community-based, grass roots, registered charity which is run by women for women. Their aim is to help women and their children who have been or are being subjected to, domestic abuse in any form to free themselves from the situation they are in. They do this by providing safe housing and a range of support services, before during and after leaving their abusive partner/family member. They will assist you through your whole journey. They support all women irrespective of whether they want to leave the relationship or not, older women, younger women, historic or current abuse; any woman.  They will assist you with any other issues you may be experiencing along side your abuse, for example surrounding: immigration, discrimination, disability, LGBT, housing, debt management, alcohol and drug abuse, multiple needs, or no recourse to public funds (NRPF). These services are run by staff and volunteers and are free of charge. All of their staff are female, and you will be able to speak to them without fear of being judged. They can help you and support you in making your own choices. They are committed to providing quality services to any woman experiencing any form of domestic violence and abuse including Forced Marriage, Honour Based Abuse (FM/HBA) and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
