The Drivers of Food Choice competitive grants program is to solicit applications and select research projects for funding that will provide a deep understanding of the drivers of food choice among the poor in developing countries in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa that account for 90% of the global burden of undernutrition, strengthen country-level leadership in nutrition, and foster a global community of food-choice researchers Grants The organization aims to solicit applications and select research projects for funding that will provide a deep understanding of the drivers of food choice among the poor, particularly in the 34 low- and middle-income countries that account for 90% of the global burden of undernutrition. Studies will use qualitative or quantitative methods or both to examine key aspects of food choice in the targeted regions.  Furthermore, projects that have the potential to strengthen country-level leadership in nutrition to support future efforts will be prioritized.
