e-Governance Academy (eGA)
The e-Governance Academy (eGA) is a think tank and consultancy organisation founded in 2002 for creation and transfer of knowledge and best practice concerning e-governance, e-democracy, national cyber security and the development of open information societies.
eGA inspires, trains and advises public sector leaders, officials and stakeholders in using information and communications technology (ICT) to increase government efficiency and to improve democratic processes. Additionally, in cooperation with IT-companies eGA assists governments in the design, selection and implementation of e-solutions.
eGA has trained more than 5500+ officials and has been involved in e-government policy planning and implementation, organisational setup, legal and technical frameworks and management with 130 countries.
eGA’s strong competences are based on the international experience of its experts who have remarkable hands on experience and a long track record in the public sector’s ICT development.
To help increase cyber security of states eGA developed National Cyber Security Index (NCSI) to measure countries level of cyber security and preparedness to prevent cyber treats and manage cyber incidents and crises.
To share e-governance best practice around the world eGA organises annually e-Governance Conference in Tallinn where leading e-governance experts, decision-makers, donors and civil society groups meet to discuss e-governance in the EU, in Eastern Partnership countries and worldwide. See more
