E-Governance Agency (AGE) (Moldova)
E-Governance Agency (AGE) (Moldova)
About

In 2010, the Government of the Republic of Moldova launched the e-Transformation of Governance process in August 2010, creating the Electronic Governance Center, a public institution subordinated to the State Chancellery, with the aim of improving governance through the intensive application of information technologies.

As of May 8, 2018, as a result of measures to consolidate data centers in the public sector and rationalize the management of government information systems, the name of the Public Institution "E-Government" was changed to Public institution "Electronic Governance Agency.

The Agency team is made up of professionals who come with a systemic approach to modernize public services and bring government closer to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. The projects managed by the eGovernment Center on the e-Transformation of Governance segments and the modernization of public services are implemented with the support of the World Bank.

 VISION

Effective, responsive and responsive governance to citizens' needs through intelligent investment in information technologies and their massive use.

MISSION

We bring technology innovations to the Government, rethink processes, streamline public services, and make them work for the benefit of citizens.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

1. Modernizing public services through their digitization and re-engineering

Electronic services facilitate interaction and communication between citizens and the Government, offering the benefits of both parties: Citizen - faster and more effective solving of its problems, Government - more trust from the population.

2. Efficiency of governance through the exchange of data between authorities and public service institutions

Public institutions will overcome isolation, operate and interact on a common data sharing platform, MConnect. Citizens will only provide personal data to public authorities once, and public institutions will re-use this data to provide government services.

3. Diversify channels for access to public services

In order to ensure the provision of public services through multiple channels, citizens' access will be provided both online (governmental portal of public services http://servicii.gov.md ) and offline through the Universal Service Providers ( CUPS) based on the Multipurpose Centers of the Public Service Agency, the modernized libraries in the Novateca network, the post offices, etc.

4. Ensuring information security

The e-Transformation process of government requires citizens to trust, guaranteeing the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information. To this end, the Electronic Governance Agency, jointly with its partners, provides a set of complex legal, organizational and technical measures.
