EFAC is a secular education-to-employment program offering 8 years of scholarships, mentoring and career development to over 400 Kenyan secondary and post-secondary students. They are focused on mitigating the opportunity gap for talented primary school graduates who cannot afford to continue their education. With EFAC, hundreds of bright students will move through secondary school, university, and into the Kenyan workforce.
EFAC’s comprehensive approach sets them apart from other scholarship programs. They know that education alone is not enough for children who have only known poverty and have few role models outside their communities. Together with scholarships, their Bridge Workshops, robust mentoring component, and employability-training program place EFAC scholars on the path to personal and professional success.
They believe that education is a fundamental human right and the most effective tool to lift their students out of poverty and combat the pressing unemployment problem in Kenya. Their graduates are positioned to be Kenya's future leaders, promoting economic and social progress for their country and for generations to come.
