History of the ESTA educational work
In 1982, the ESTA Education Center was founded as an independent, non-profit educational institution. In the same year it received the recognition of the Minister of Culture as a state educational institution according to the North Rhine-Westphalia Continuing Education Act. The name ESTA derives from the parent company of the European Citizenship Academy (ESTA), which was based in Bocholt until 2008.
