Eure Normandie Numerique
The Open Digital Eure Mixed Syndicate created in 2014 is in charge of the roll-out of the high-speed and high-speed digital network throughout the Department except for the areas on which the operators have decided to invest: Louviers, Vernon and the Agglomération d Evreux. Following the election of Sébastien Lecornu as President of the Department of Eure, Hervé Maurey was elected President of Eure Numérique in May 2015.
A new deployment plan was then developed to achieve wider and faster coverage and to ensure real equity between territories.
On December 9, 2015, the departmental assembly thus ratified the deployment of very high speed for all by 2025 by setting 2 stages:
By 2020, 94% of eurois will have access to a minimum bit rate of 8Mbit / s (compared to 65% in 2017) and a majority of them in optical fiber to the subscriber (100Mbit / s rate)
Over the period 2020-2025 the very high speed through the fiber to the subscriber will be generalized.
This ambitious plan is possible thanks to a budgetary effort of the Department of the Eure, the Normandy Region and the State.
Eure Numérique became in May 2017 Eure Normandy Numérique.
In application of the law on the cumulation of the mandates, Hervé Maurey had to resign of its functions of President.
Frédéric Duché was elected president of the union on September 28, 2017.
