The LINKS Foundation is a non-profit institution that operates on a national and international level in the field of applied research in the fields of engineering and architecture, with specialization in the polytechnical sciences of information and telecommunications, and of the territorial sciences and environmental.

The Foundation promotes, conducts and strengthens innovation processes and research projects that are of public benefit and that, based on the results of fundamental research conducted in universities, combined with transversal and multidisciplinary internal skills, can create a socio-economic impact on territory. This includes the desire to attract talent and professionalism from all over the world, creating a point of reference for applied research and for the enhancement of scientific skills.

LINKS, to carry out its work and achieve the set goals, has gathered the experience and skills acquired within the ISMB and SITI Institutes , which have achieved important results in the last 15 years, reaching an important position within the community scientific.

About 160 people accepted the challenges set by LINKS and joined this new project, born with the aim of establishing itself as a center of excellence. LINKS brings together people with different training and knowledge that enable the development of innovative and multidisciplinary studies and applications. The skills are concentrated on the themes of new technologies, the environment and the territory, and are based on complementary experiences deriving from the innovation processes and their application in various fields.
