The purpose of “Giuseppe Tovini” institution is to give its contribution to the training and specialization of teachers, tutors, animators and socially committed figures, by following the Christian pedagogic doctrine and at the same time the principles of human sciences progress. In order to perform its activity the Institution supports: * Activities which aim to the training and updating of operators in the field of education, culture and sociology, thanks to prizes and scholarships which give them the opportunity to take part in lessons, seminars and to attend libraries; * Initiatives oriented to the support of study, research and both university and master specialization, apprenticeship in Italy and even abroad, voluntary activities and international cooperation.
The "Giuseppe Tovini" Foundation carries out activities aimed at the preparation of operators in the educational, scholastic, cultural, and social fields. It also promotes university studies and research, international cooperation services, information and development education activities and courses for international volunteering.
In a word, the "vocation" of the Foundation is clearly educational. His story is linked to two exceptional figures from the Brescian Catholic world: a layman, prof. Vittorio Chizzolini, tireless teacher and animator of intelligent pedagogical enterprises, and a priest, mgr. Angelo Zammarchi, who was one of the founders of the "La Scuola" publishing house to which the Foundation is operatively linked. The Foundation was officially founded on 10 June 1957 and, on the proposal of the Ministry of Education, is recognized as Ente Morale in 1959.
