The Forælder Fonden is a private social assistance organization. The foundation was founded in 1966 by journalist and founder Lis Møller under the name of the single-family housing fund. Later the fathers came in with the name and in 2010, the fund got its current name as a result of continuously expanding its work so that today we are dealing with much more than just housing dissemination.  The Fund has been living exclusively for funded funds. The staff are few employees, complemented by the efforts of many volunteers.  Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte has from the outset been the protector of the Fund. Since the start of the Fund, the financial conditions and the basis for the Fund's work have been collected. That's why we're relying on the fact that private companies, companies and funds support our work: helping those who are alone with children.  Unfortunately, all surveys continue to show that they are the only ones with the worst children in this country. For example, only every 4th woman who becomes a mother at a young age has received education when she reaches 30.  At the Parent Fund we fight against the tendencies of the social heritage. Children of unskilled parents have seven times the risk of not being educated as peers of highly educated parents.  Being a sole provider often sheds dark shadows down to the next generation. Here we try to make a contribution.
