The Fresh Air Fund, an independent, not-for-profit agency, has provided free summer experiences to more than 1.8 million New York City children from low-income communities since 1877. Each summer, nearly 4,000 children visit volunteer host families in rural and suburban communities along the East Coast and Southern Canada. 3,000 children attend five Fresh Air camps in the summer on a close to 2,000-acre site in Fishkill, New York. Young people also participate in year-round educational enrichment programs at camp and in New York City. For more information, visit www.freshair.org.
A breath of fresh air: it restores and reenergizes, invigorates and ignites. That's what you give to New York City's Fresh Air Fund children. The chance to breathe deeply and reflect. The chance to sit in the sun and laugh, learn and celebrate the summer.
Since 1877, friends like you have brought Fresh Air Fund summers to children from New York City's low-income neighborhoods. Their campers are the kids who motivate their peers and give back. They're the kids who grow into leaders like you.
Change a child's life today. Give the gift of Fresh Air.
