Fundo Nacional de Investigacao is a national public institution, endowed with legal personality and administrative autonomy, under the tutelage of the Minister who oversees the area of ​​Science and Technology. It is, therefore, one of the mechanisms for financing science and technology created by the Government of Mozambique through Decree no. 12/2005, of 10 June, revised by Decree no. 50/2015, of 31 December.
