Gambia Livestock Marketing Agency (GLMA)
The Gambia Livestock Marketing Agency (GLMA) was enacted by an Act of Parliament in 2010 as an Agency responsible for the Promotion of the commercialization and marketing of livestock production in the Gambia, facilitation the participation of Gambians in livestock marketing and the regulation of the trade.
Management and Staff: The Agency is headed by a Director General, a Deputy Director General and Director of Finance and Administration. There is an M&E unit for regular monitoring and evaluation of activities, supported the Field and Marketing Agents tasked with weekly data collection and market monitoring.
