The Hellenic Committee for International Democratic Solidarity (EIDD) is a Greek non-governmental, non-profit, charity organization founded in September 1981, aiming at solidarity with the movements of the Asian, African and Latin American peoples and all other peoples struggling against imperialism, for their national independence and sovereignty, for peace and social justice.
Its members are tertiary and secondary trade unions (workers, civil servants, banks), unions and unions, women's organizations, peace, social life and individuals who want to contribute actively to the realization of its goals.
There are departments in the EIDHR dealing with either specific geographical areas or specific subjects such as:
With the Middle East and the Arab world
With Africa and Asia
With Latin America and the Caribbean
With programs in the countries of Asia, Africa, Latin America
By combating racism, with the problems of refugees and immigrants
It is run by a 23-member Bureau and an 11-member Secretariat.
