The Human Security Alliance is a non-profit and non-governmental organization working through its partnerships and networks. HSA was established on the 19th of January, 2007 in Bangkok, Thailand and has been working to promote a human centric policy in development in order to encourage the necessary conditions for fulfillment of human potential. Without basic human security this potential cannot be achieved. In this regard, The Human Security Alliance focuses to engage at multiple levels by creating a bridge between local organisations and regional and international organisations to enhance the compliance of human centric policy at each level. The Human Security Alliance works in varied approaches depending on time and seeks always to uphold the virtue of human dignity.
Furthermore, The Human Security Alliance (HSA) is an alliance of human security ideas. It is an organization started through a series of dialogue among academicians, human rights practitioners, media personnel, lawyers and professionals in South and Southeast Asian countries. The dialogue took place in Dhaka and Bangkok during 2005 and 2006. The dialogue process has been initiated by Mr. Altafur Rahman with a view to unveil the potentials of human security understanding to address the critical needs of the people. This was mainly to apply human security at the time when conflicting paradigms of ideas were dictating people's fate. Through sixteen sessions of dialogue the team has proposed to initiate the platform named Human Security Alliance.
