The current IBEROAMERICAN FOUNDATION OF SOCIAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES (FICSSALUD) is a charitable, non-profit organization that was created in 1995 at the initiative of the General Nursing Council of Spain, with the name of Fundación Salud y Society It is classified as a Charitable Foundation - Assistance by Ministerial Order of 03/15/1995 and is registered in the Registry of Foundations - Subdirectorate General of Social Cooperation and Guardianship - of the Directorate General of Social Action, with the number 28/0965.
Its scope of action is national and international.

Fundación Iberoamericana de Ciencias Sociales y la Salud develops its activities through two sections, The International School of Health Sciences (EICS) and Nurses for the World (EPM):
The EICS has as main objective to contribute to the development of health personnel, and especially of nursing, through different training actions, research and advice programs, events of a scientific and cultural nature and all kinds of acts that have to do with compliance with the foundational purposes
EPM focuses its activity on cooperation and education for development, humanitarian aid, awareness and social inclusion.See more
