Indonesia Microfinance Association (IMA) is an active National Network of Microfinance in Indonesia that established as a result of the 1st Indonesia Microfinance Conference (IMC) in Bali, on May 21st - May 22nd 2008.
IMC is a regular event for strengthening relationships, exchange experiences , information sharing and mutual learning between Microfinance practitioners in Indonesia with the purpose to strengthen the synergy between Microfinance Stakeholders in Indonesia.
IMA is an independent National Network of Microfinance, and non-partisan, where IMA member consists of various type of Microfinance Institutions such as BPR/BPRS, Cooperatives, Foundation, Modal Ventura, Commercial Bank, and others.
IMA facilitate its member to improve access and opportunities to learn, strengthen partnership, collaboration and synergy that benefit the member.
1. Promoting an enabling environment that benefits the work of all stakeholders, support the stakeholders to enhance scale, quality and diversity in Microfinance.
2. Build the Capacity of members and committed to serve the poor households in a sustainable, innovative and transparent manner, equitable access to financial and non-financial services.
3. Pursue the global standards of excellence in governance, stewardship, and service towards staffs, clients and communities.
4. Disseminating industry relevant information, improving transparency, promoting benchmarks and serving as a point of contact for information for Microfinance Industry in Indonesia.
Advocacy in local industry (Indonesia), facilitating discussion between microfinance stakeholders;
Promoting standard of MFI's to the member (reporting standard, performance standard);
Sharing knowledge and experiences with other network in the region
