Instituto Minas Pela Paz (MPP)
Instituto Minas pela Paz is an Organization of Public Interest Civil Society (OSCIP) created from the initiative of the strategic council of the Federation of Industries of the State of Minas Gerais (FIEMG), composed of the presidents of the largest state companies.
The IMPP works in social assistance, inclusion and promotion of rights. The 181 Disque Denuncia receives anonymous denunciations that support the Military, Civil Police and the Fire Department in the face of crime. Since 2007, 31 tons of drugs, 16,000 weapons, 191,000 ammunitions have been seized, among other relevant results.
In the prison system, the APACs, the Associations for the Protection and Assistance of the Damned, operate. It carries out vocational courses and mobilizes the community for job opportunities. It has already qualified 5,548 inmates and 1,165 graduates work formally.
The IMPP includes young people in compliance with socio-educational measures in learning programs. There are 351 young people who combine study and paid work.
In education, it promoted the qualification of 200 managers of public schools and cultural inclusion of 68,300 thousand students. In 2017, it will carry out a football, education and citizenship project to include children and young people in situations of social vulnerability.See more
