Ironbound Community Corporation (ICC)

The Ironbound Community Corporation (ICC) is a multi-service, community-based organization rooted in and representative of the ethnically diverse Newark, NJ neighborhood called Ironbound. Founded in 1969 by residents, ICC's mission has been to work with neighborhood people to deliver programs and services to meet the needs of the area and improve the quality of life for individuals, families and the general community. ICC touches and impacts the lives of more than 700 people on average daily and thousands annually with programs and services ranging from early childhood care and education to parenting education and support services to meals-on-wheels for senior citizens. Ironbound Community Corporation impacts the lives of Ironbound residents both at the individual and community levels. Whether it’s preparing children for Kindergarten and life-long success with high quality early childhood education or negotiating land use with industry and government, ICC’s priority is to support the people of the Ironbound with the services, resources, and opportunities they need, want and deserve. With four program locations throughout the Ironbound, families have access to a full range of ICC services and initiatives.
