Israeli Ministry of Science, Technology and Space (MOST)

The Ministry of Science and Technology is responsible for investing in scientific research in the State of Israel in the areas of national priority and constitutes a link between academic research and industrial development. The Ministry is working to improve the knowledge and research infrastructure in the country in order to maximize the benefit of the accumulated knowledge of researchers in research institutions in Israel for research with real implementation potential.  In addition to the minister's office and the director general's office, the ministry has nine main units: the Chief Scientist, the Scientific Infrastructure Program, the Israeli Space Agency, the Science and Community Corps, which includes eight regional research and development centers, Science and administrative staff.   The Ministry of Science and Technology is a key factor in shaping and leading research and development policy in Israel. Facing excellence and positioning Israel as a state of science and technology, the Ministry works to establish scientific priorities, to strengthen human and physical infrastructures, to establish international scientific relations and to leverage Israel's comparative advantages. In addition, the Ministry works to bring science closer to the community and to strengthen sectors with low scientific presence and to establish science in the periphery.
