Ivorian Electricity Company (Compagnie Ivoirienne d'Electricité) (CIE)
Access to electricity is a condition of Sustainable Development essential to facilitate access to essential services for life: drinking water, education, health services. These realities call for any policy of access to electricity to respond to requirements of social equity and improvement of the well-being of populations.
To do this, the State of Côte d'Ivoire has launched, in partnership with the CIE, the Electricity for All Program (PEPT). An ambition that aims to connect 1 million households over the 2015-2020 period, an average of 200,000 households per year for 5 years. This will result in an average additional demand of around 60 MW per year, i.e. around 400 MW of power to be distributed by 2020.See more
