Kigoma Alliance for Community Needs (KACON)
Kigoma Aids control network (KACON) is a registered organization, operating in Kigoma region, at regional level, in the United Republic of Tanzania. It was set up on 09th June, 2004 and legally registered on 21st February 2005 with a registration number SO. No. 13013 under CSOs Ordinance of 1954 of the United Republic of Tanzania.
The overall aim of the organization is to improve the quality of education (community awareness) through controlling of HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Family plan, nutrition, sanitation, hygiene, hand wash and waste management, and social health effects diseases which always cause problems to people.
Vision, Mission and Objectives
Vision Statement: Attain quality life standard; the standard whereby people enjoys prosperity of development.
Mission Statement: Mobilizing resources for supporting community members eradicate water, sanitation and health related problems, supporting most vulnerable children, empowering women in entrepreneurship, undertaking campaigning against gender based violence, improving services on reproductive rights, family planning, Malaria, nutrition to expectant mothers and under-five children and supporting youth development programs.
Experiences on the field: Since her establishment KACON has largely dealt with short term HIV/AIDS project. Her main functions being; coordination and management of services at the grassroots level in the region.
