ABOUT KINO GLAZ
Kino Glaz is a film and television production, distribution and exhibition house based in El Salvador and Mexico founded in 2015 by two filmmakers with a long film career and a leading administrator and accountant.
The main objective of Kino Glaz is to consolidate a Central American cinema platform that builds bridges with the rest of the world and that through cinema and audiovisual allows us to portray our society and its stories.
The themes of Kino Glaz are always related to human rights, gender and historical memory. Kino Glaz believes in the power that cinematographic and audiovisual language can exert on people to sensitize them and motivate them to change reality. Kino Glaz believes in making movies with a universal language, a regional mode and a look of our own. Kino Glaz also believes that the union of Central American filmmakers is the key to creating an industry in our countries.
The experience of Kino Glaz is reflected in documentaries, short films, and in-depth reports, among others, that they have produced and that have been screened in the most diverse festivals and social or cultural spaces around the world. Thanks to that experience Gino Glaz trusts that they can address an infinity of stories and adapt them to existing audiovisual formats.
