La Casa di Amadou
Something about us
The House of Amadou is an attempt to offer boys and girls from far away a place that offers friendship, family and solidarity.
One evening a week, on Thursday, the rectory of the parish of the Resurrection in the Cita district of Marghera turns into a meeting place for boys and girls, boys and girls, men and women who come from the world.
Some arrived in Italy in search of a new life: some to study, some to escape from war and hunger, some in search of work; then there are those who were born in Italy, some who have always lived in Venice and others who have moved there for various reasons.
We eat together, we tell each other our daily lives, we dance, we laugh and we try to be supportive and to support those who are in difficulty for bureaucratic, economic or personal reasons.See more
