London Mining Network

London Mining Network (LMN) is an alliance of human rights, development, environmental and solidarity groups. It works for: -human rights, including the rights of Indigenous Peoples and workers, and -sustainable development (development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs) in communities around the world affected by the activities of mining companies based in or funded from London Purpose -Monitoring abuses of human rights, Indigenous rights and workers’ rights in mining-affected communities, and seeking redress; -Research into the impacts of mining on human rights, the environment and sustainable development; -Raising awareness of the impacts of mining on human rights, the environment and sustainable development; -Promoting public support for the rights of mining-affected communities; -Promoting respect for human rights and the environment by mining companies; -Advocacy on mining, human rights, the environment and sustainable development; -Working to eliminate infringements of human rights by mining companies and bodies working in support of mining companies.
