The Lovexair Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the care, support and guidance of people with respiratory diseases, their families and their caregivers. The main objective is to sensitize society about the importance of early diagnosis, prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases.
The Foundation was born in 2011 by Shane Fitch, president of the Foundation and mother of a young man who was born with the deficit of Alpha-1 Antitrypsin, a genetic condition in which there is a deficiency of a protein produced by the liver. This deficit predisposes people who suffer from the possibility of developing liver or lung diseases.
Since its inception, the Foundation has funded and promoted projects and campaigns to raise public awareness of respiratory diseases. In this way, it has reached one of its main challenges: to offer attention and support to the community of people affected by this type of pathologies, to support healthcare professionals and to collaborate with industry and other organizations in the sector to offer solutions to the community of patientsSee more
