Maluk Timor is committed to strengthening the healthcare workforce in Timor-Leste by providing comprehensive training programs that enhance the clinical skills of primary health care professionals.
Their Continuing Professional Development in Integrated Primary Health Care (CPD-IPHC) program, developed in collaboration with the Timor-Leste Ministry of Health and supported by international partners, ensures that doctors, nurses, midwives, and other healthcare workers are equipped to deliver high-quality care across the country.
They are working to champion empowerment and improved health of Timorese women and girls especially in rural areas
Their current program is taking a multi-pronged approach to supporting pregnant women, children, health care workers and community health care workers in Ermera.
The aim is to improve health outcomes, in an area where access to maternal and child health services have traditionally been limited, many women birth at home and health literacy is low. The area is very mountainous, roads can be treacherous and infrastructure limited.
