Ministerio de Desarollo Urbano y Vivienda - Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (Ecuador)

The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing of Ecuador is the State portfolio in charge of exercising the rectory and implementing the public policy of cities, guaranteeing citizens access to safe and healthy habitat, decent housing and integrating public space. It was created by President Sixto Durán-Ballén in 1994, appointing engineer Francisco Albornoz as prime minister.
