Royal Decree 355/2018, of June 6 ( BOE June 7, 2018 ) through which the ministerial departments are restructured, establishes the functions of the Ministry of Ecological Transition.
Royal Decree 864/2018, of July 13 ( BOE July 14, 2018 ) develops the basic organic structure of the Ministry for Ecological Transition.
- It is the responsibility of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition to propose and execute the Government's policy on energy and the environment for the transition to a more ecological and productive social model.
- It is also the responsibility of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition to make water policy an essential public good.
- The relations that, in the exercise of their functions, the Nuclear Safety Council establishes with the Government, will be developed through the Ministry for the Ecological Transition.
- The relations of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition with the National Commission of the Markets and the Competition, in accordance with the Law 3/2013, of June 4, of creation of the National Commission of the Markets and the Competition, will be channeled to through the Secretary of State for Energy in matters that are his own.
