The Ministry of Education was established in 1962. The Ministry aims at providing educational services to the age groups specified in the laws regulating this and eliminating the illiteracy of education and the development and implementation of the necessary plans and programs to carry out the tasks entrusted to it based on the Constitution and the general educational policy of the State and the plan of economic and social development.

General Principles

The development of the educational process through the syllabus is an interrelated work of times, efforts and fields. This requires the existence of an officer and guidance framework, which constitutes a local basis for supervision, monitoring and follow-up across the field, time, man and place. The development of the curriculum is not a year or two, nor is it a human being. From place to place, according to the requirements of the reality surrounding this place or that, natural, social and economic. 

Hence, a national framework has to be directed at all these multiple inputs towards common ends, although times and individuals, fields and methods vary according to the need for flexibility and diversity as required by our fast-moving times and our ever-diminishing world. The General Curriculum Framework Curriculum is the basis for all practitioners in curriculum development and implementation, and for those who follow up and monitor and evaluate the processes.
