Mission

In order to realize this vision, national industrial development has the following missions:

  • Increasing the role of the national industry as a pillar and driver of the national economy.
  • Strengthen and deepen the national industrial structure.
  • Increasing an independent, competitive and advanced industry, as well as a green industry.
  • Ensure business certainty, fair competition, and prevent industrial concentration or domination by one group or individual that is detrimental to society.
  • Opening business opportunities and expanding employment opportunities.
  • Increasing the distribution of industrial development to all regions of Indonesia in order to strengthen and strengthen national resilience and
  • Increasing the prosperity and welfare of society in a just manner.

The strategies adopted to achieve the vision and mission of national industrial development are as follows:

  • Develop natural resource-based upstream and intermediate industries.
  • Control the export of raw materials and energy sources.
  • Increasing mastery of technology and the quality of industrial human resources (HR).
  • Establishing Industrial Development Areas (WPI).
  • Develop Industrial Growth Center Areas (WPPI), Industrial Allotment Areas, Industrial Estates, and Small and Medium Industry Centers.
  • Providing affirmative steps in the form of formulating policies, strengthening institutional capacity and providing facilities to small and medium industries.
  • Develop industrial facilities and infrastructure.
