Ministry of State Property (Croatia)

About the Ministry The Ministry of State Property was established on 13 November 2016 on the basis of the Act on Amendments to the Law on Organization and Scope of Ministries and Other Central Bodies of Public Administration, which was published in Narodne novine 104/16 . The scope and functions of the Ministry of State Property, as defined by the Law on the Organization and Scope of Ministries and Other Central Bodies of Public Administration (Official Gazette 93/16, 101/16 and 116/18) and the Law on State Property Management (Official Gazette 52/18), following: - administrative and other activities related to the management of state property; - ownership powers on behalf of the Republic of Croatia; - drafting a proposal for the State Property Management Strategy, a proposal for the Annual State Property Management Plan and a proposal for a Report on the implementation of the Annual State Property Management Plan; - professional tasks related to the coordination and harmonization of criteria for the management of state property, preparation of guidelines for the implementation of ownership policy in legal entities of special interest to the Republic of Croatia, monitoring the work of management, development and implementation of strategic policy in the abovementioned legal entities; - proposals to the Government of the Republic of Croatia to take decisions on establishing the list of legal entities of special interest for the Republic of Croatia; - The Ministry of State Property proposes to the Government of the Republic of Croatia the appointment of members of assemblies, supervisory boards and administrations of legal entities of special interest to the Republic of Croatia in accordance with the regulations governing the management of state property, as well as making decisions on the manner of disposal of shares or business interests of legal entities of special interest for the Republic of Croatia, engaged in activities within the competence of the Ministry, and participation in the procedures of restructuring and recapitalization of the above-mentioned legal entities; the tasks of improving the corporate governance of legal entities owned by the Republic of Croatia and the training of members of supervisory boards for performing the tasks of members of supervisory boards of companies; administrative and other activities related to the management of the apartment and commercial property fund owned by the Republic of Croatia, but not managed by a special regulation; - management of residential facilities; - property management declared unpromising by the Ministry of Defense; - management of other construction land owned by the Republic of Croatia; - management of land owned by the Republic of Croatia on which campsites, mountain huts, or houses with associated land are used and used for regular use of real estate, built on land registered as property of the Republic of Croatia, regardless of whether they are in a construction zone, agricultural land , forest or forest land, unless other persons have acquired the property in the process of conversion of social ownership or under special regulations; - management of real estate owned by the Republic of Croatia on which it is planned to build a golf course, hotels, hotel complexes, camps and other outdoor sports and recreational facilities with accompanying buildings and facilities of a commercial nature; - management of property owned by the Republic of Croatia or over which the Republic of Croatia exercises ownership rights and which relates to legal entities and is subject to succession of states due to the dissolution of the former SFRY in accordance with special regulations; the Ministry makes decisions on acquisition, exchange and other similar dispositions; - management of excess excavation of mineral resources in accordance with special regulations; - the management of property which has been permanently taken away by a legally convicted perpetrator of criminal offenses or misdemeanors or related persons, and given to the Ministry for management; management of temporarily confiscated property owned by the defendants against whom criminal or misdemeanor proceedings or related persons are conducted in accordance with special regulations, which is given to the Ministry for management; - participation in the process of drafting physical planning documents by submitting a request and giving an opinion, if it also covers land owned by the Ministry of the Republic of Croatia; - supervising the management and disposal of state property in the implementation of the law governing the management of state property; - participation in the work of the institutions of the European Union and cooperation with international institutions in accordance with regulations.
