Mission Society of New York City
Mission Society of New York City is the oldest organization in New York dedicated to ending intergenerational poverty. Since 1812, over 6.5 million New Yorkers have come through Mission’s doors seeking lifechanging economic opportunity. Mission has helped our neighbors succeed in attaining their future goals by continually reimagining the urban learning landscape and building new educational capacity. Specifically, in every generation, we launch innovative, experiential educational programs and services to best meet the evolving needs of New York City’s youth and families.
Today, we provide nearly 4,500 young people and parents with a progressive suite education and career readiness programs and counseling at our flagship building on Malcolm X Boulevard and 16 public school programs in Harlem, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Chinatown.See more
