National Institute of Social Action (INAS) (Mozambique)

Introduction The present history intends to bring the summary radiography of the evolution registered since GAPVU, creation of INAS, until today. For the elaboration of the same, they used the INAS retrospective brochure 1997-2012, reports of the Programs and decrees, in order to better understand the progress of the Social Assistance Programs implemented by the Government through INAS, as well as Human Resources with regard to institutional organization. Background The consulted instruments advocate that the National Institute of Social Action (INAS) arises following the extinction of the Office for Support to Vulnerable Population (GAPVU), created through Resolution No. 02/90, of 26 June of the Council of Ministers, as an institution linked to the Ministry of Finance, having in 1991 been under the tutelage of the Secretary of State for Social Action, (RETROSPECTIVA DO INAS, 1997-2012).
