NIRAS provides technical assistance and project management for development programmes all over the world. With 40 years’ experience in development cooperation, they perform over 100 assignments annually. They work in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America in a wide range of sectors. Their annual turnover for development consulting services is approximately € 35 million, making us one of the largest European consultancy companies in their field. Who They Are They have approximately 170 permanent staff members devoted to international development. They have a network of more than 6000 experts globally. More than 80% of their in-house staff hold MSc or PhD degrees related to their core areas of expertise. Their main offices in Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Poland and Cambodia are closely linked through joint project management tools and information management systems, ensuring that clients and partners always enjoy the same high quality services. With offices in several African, Asian and Eastern European countries, they maintain strong local ties to experts and organisations in all of their  key markets. They implement more than 100 assignments annually. They work with highly skilled development professionals and hire more than 600 free-lance consultants annually on long and short term contracts. What They Do The majority of their work consists of implementing large, long-term and multi­disciplinary development programmes, often in challenging environments. With their in-house expertise and vast network of experts, they provide high quality project management and technical assistance services, covering the entire project cycle, from project design to implementation and evaluation. Their Clients Their clients include main Nordic and European bilateral donors, the European Commission, ADB, AfDB, various UN organisations and the World Bank.
