Created in 2009 by ex-political prisoners, the Center for Preservation of Political Memory works to promote public policies on issues related to political memory and the defense of human rights through educational actions in these areas.
MISSION - The Nucleus of Preservation of Political Memory has as mission to work with the memory of the political, social and cultural struggles, essentially in relation to the damages committed against people and institutions. Its fundamental task is to analyze the historical facts that occurred during the civil-military dictatorship in Brazil (1964-1985) and its consequences, with the objective of strengthening the democratic culture, promoting Human Rights Education and preserving the Places of Memory.
VISION - To consolidate itself as an articulator of experiences in the field of Human Rights, Memory, Truth and Justice, fostering a network of Memory Places in Brazil.
