Ocean Surveys, Inc.
OSI is a highly responsive hydrographic, geophysical, physical oceanographic surveying and sediment sampling firm staffed with scientists, hydrographers, engineers, and technicians with a broad range of experience working in both freshwater and marine environments. To support domestic and international data acquisition, we own, operate and maintain one of the country’s most extensive inventories of state-of-the art positioning, vessel control, hydrographic, geophysical, oceanographic and sediment sampling equipment including a wide array of vibratory coring systems and platforms. Annually, OSI conducts more than 150 high-resolution hydrographic, multi-sensor geophysical, oceanographic and sediment sampling investigations worldwide supporting a variety of industries including offshore wind, energy transmission, coastal engineering, environmental site assessment, construction and marine archaeology. We are one of only 7 firms selected by NOAA to conduct nation-wide precision Multibeam hydrographic (MBES) surveys for the next generation of navigational charts. In addition we are under contract to three US Army Corps of Engineers Districts who are responsible for maintaining safe navigability in Federal waterways and addressing coastal erosion. Under these IDC contracts, we provide both single and multibeam hydrographic surveys, beach profile surveys, various physical sampling programs including extensive vibratory coring, physical oceanographic studies and a full range of high-resolution geophysical and cultural resource surveys. We sincerely believe OSI's integrated marine survey capability built on more than 50 years of domestic and international experience, coupled with extensive local knowledge and support from our affiliates throughout the world result in the provision of the most cost-effective and highest quality surveys for each of our valued Clients.
